There Comes Here

I’ve had a homeless man give the richest advice.
I’ve had an intellectual give the dumbest philosophies.
I’ve had the littlest person give the most wisdom.
I’ve learned most how to be a man from a woman.
I’ve learned true strength from the infirmed.
I’ve seen the epitome of weakness in the strongest forces.
I’ve seen God distorted the most from a preacher.
I’ve seen the love of God most from seemingly unyoked people.
I’ve learned forgiveness from the seemingly unforgivable.
I’ve been forgiven for acts I’ve committed that I wouldn’t myself forgive.
I’ve cried tears of joy and agony at the same time.
I’ve rested and gained energy.
I’ve spoken my loudest through silence.
I’ve stood up by sitting still.
I’ve retreated to win.
I’ve suffered the biggest losses trying my hardest to win.
I’ve had everything when I’ve had absolutely nothing.
This is the journey that ends with a return to whence I came.
I ponder it, I cherish it, I live it, I let it go, I live again.
